How well do you know Apple Inc. hardware products? Since the founding of Apple Inc. in 1976, the company has produced series of hardware products. Maybe it’s time you get acquainted with the hardware products.

Below are all Apple Inc. hardware products you should know with a short history of how each started.

1. iPhone

In January 2007 at the Macworld Conference & Expo, Steve Jobs one of the founders of Apple Inc. announced Apple’s plan of introducing iPhone. The first generation of the smartphone was officially released on June 29, 2007, for $499 (4 GB) and $599 (8 GB) with an AT&T contract.

And so far, there are twenty one iterations of the iPhone;

2. iPad

Apple introduced its tablet computer on January 27, 2010. The media tablet offers multi-touch interaction with multimedia formats including newspapers, e-books, photos, videos, music, word processing documents, video games, and most existing iPhone apps using a 9.7-inch screen.

There are ten iterations of the iPad;
iPad 2
iPad (3rd generation)
iPad (4th generation)
iPad Air
iPad Air 2
iPad Pro
iPad (5th generation)
iPad Pro (2nd generation)
iPad (6th generation)
iPad Pro (3rd generation)

3. Mac

Mac is a Personal computer produced by Apple Inc. It was formerly known as Macintosh and the first of this product was released and sold by Apple in 1984. However, in 1998 this product was officially branded as Mac by Apple.

4. iPod

On October 23, 2001, Apple introduced the iPod digital music player. And ever since then, it has dominated the space of portable music players by a significant margin.

5. Apple Watch

The original Apple Watch smartwatch was announced by Tim Cook on September 9, 2014, being introduced as a product with health and fitness-tracking. It was released on April 24, 2015.

6. Apple TV

Formerly known as iTV, Apple TV was introduced by Steve Jobs at the 2007 Macworld conference. Apple TV is a digital media player and
microconsole developed and sold by Apple Inc. It is a small network appliance and entertainment device that can receive digital data such as music or video from specific sources and stream it to a television that has HDMI input.

7. HomePod

HomePod is a smart speaker produced by Apple company. The first of its kind was released on February 9, 2018 after being delayed from its initial December 2017 release. HomePod features 7 tweeters in the base, a four-inch woofer in the top, six microphones for voice control and acoustic optimization, and On September 12, 2018, Apple announced that HomePod is adding new features—search by lyrics, set multiple timers, make and receive phone calls, Find My iPhone, Siri Shortcuts—and Siri languages.
