According to the Spaniard Player, Cristiano Ronaldo’s future at the Bernabeu is uncertain following his comments in the aftermath of the Champions League final triumph over Liverpool last month where he declared it “was nice” to have played for Los Blancos.
Since then the Portuguese captain has refused to directly clear the air about his future plans in Madrid. As he has left media and others guessing about the possibilities of him staying or not.
Real and Ronaldo have been locked in contract talks with the forward reportedly demanding to be paid similar wages to that of Barcelona’s Lionel Messi and Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar.
And Isco acknowledged the possibility of Ronaldo leaving, having been linked to former club Manchester United and PSG, and revealed his unsurprising desire to see the prolific attacker stay in the Spanish capital.
At a pre-World Cup media day for the Spanish national team, Isco declared: “It’s similar to Zizou, “It’s Cristiano who has to make the decision to continue, whether he wants to or not.
“It’s in his hands. I hope he stays with us because he gives us a lot.”
With Iscos recent claim, it therefore means that only Cristiano is in best place to tell us about his future decision. And that might just be in Russia or after the World Cup tournament.
