Seven Years After Selling His Kidney For an iPhone, Wang is Now Bedridden

Wang is a Chinese teenager who lives in Chenzhou, China. Seven years ago, Xiao Wang sold his kidney for $3,000/N1m to purchase an iPhone 4 and iPad.

According to a report, his parents could not afford to buy him the apple gadgets then, hence he resolved to trade his kidney for an iPhone. Well, things seems to be perfectly alright till of recent when the story changes.

Xiao Wang had a deal with a black market organ dealer to sell his kidney in return for some cash. That he did, and the operation was carried on. The operation was performed at an illegal underground hospital in Chenzhou, China. After the operation, Wang was told he’d return to his normal life after about a week. Sadly that never happened.

Initially, when the operation was carried out it was successful but the problem therein was that, both the theatre and the equipment used then were not sanitized properly which led Wang to develop an infection on his wound.

Wang never revealed to his family that he had sold his kidney to buy an iPhone. It was only when he became terribly ill from the infection that his parents came to know about his deeds. Sadly, by the time he was taken to a hospital, it was too late as his kidney function had been severely affected by the infection.

Now, Wang is permanently bedridden and requires hemodialysis to survive. The whole ordeal has put his family in a financial crisis due to the expensive medical bills.

Wang made a terrible mistakes for considering material things over his health. Life is more precious than an iPhone.
